Health tip of the day: Yeast (Candida albicans) is a normal body flora. Yeast is part of the body’s clean-up and repair crew, however it is not supposed to get out of control. Since yeast is a normal flora, if it grows out of control it is always secondary to something else going wrong.

Parasites often change the pH of the body which can open the door for yeast infections. Inflammation and heavy metal toxins often play a role as well. Yeast infection symptoms can overlap many of the same symptoms as are found in Lyme disease.

Sugar cravings are often a sign of yeast infection.

Remember, since yeast is supposed to be in the healthy body that complete annihilation is not the point so much as addressing the underlying cause of yeast overgrowth.
